The Apiary is a nonprofit kindergarten microschool dedicated to providing students with the individualized learning of homeschool with the social and cooperative benefits of public school. Our small class size led by an experienced teacher in the home and outdoors gives students both rigor and community in a safe comfortable environment. We aim to inspire and encourage students to develop a passion and interest for learning in the beginning of their academic journey and to nurture their social and personal development. The Apiary is designed for kids who learn best from hands-on activities and our curriculum aligns with and exceeds state standards.

Why Microschool?
A microschool is a small class (8 students) taught in a home environment. The small student:teacher ratio ensures that each child receives individualized care tailored to their pace and progress. Students in microschools benefit from the curriculum and social experience of a public school. They also receive the care, connection, and personalization of homeschool. Schooling from home also offers unique and flexible opportunities. For example, the Apiary lessons make use of the home environment including the kitchen and outdoors. Lessons are screen free with hands-on outdoor activities.
